Charlie, the not-so-old seadog on Chris’ boat Alicia.
I spent much of January undertaking the wooden boat owner’s biennial duty… painting, Alicia, my couta boat. There was a reward at the end though as we motored 4 hours up the Tamar to Launceston’s Wooden Boat Rally. Alicia bop-bopped (she has a 70 year old engine!) her way up the river very happily and I had a great time, but it was Charlie who really had her sea legs on display. She loved it! She constantly did laps of the boat, barked at every seagull and cormorant and took pride of place at the bow proving that A. she’s a great seadog and B. she is really in command of the vessel!
